What is vinyl flooring?
Vinyl sheet flooring is a synthetic material, which comprises of a base layer that is usually fibreglass, which is then coated in PVC vinyl and a plasticiser. The resulting sheet is then printed and embossed with a surface print layer, which is usually a “wood effect”. Over the main layer multiple wear layers are applied along with a layer of no wax polyurethane.
Where to have vinyl flooring
Vinyl flooring is mainly for wet and areas such as toilet, bathroom and kitchen because of its superior resistance to moisture. It is, in fact, recommended for most areas of the house, such as the bedroom, living room, utility room and hall.
